Has anyone got or tried the Japanese "airbag" jackets? I saw one at Riders Club but it looks a bit bulky for Thai weather and they only had black. Phew, sweat, gasp...

Ours are made by "HitAir" and are mesh with lots of airflow for the warmth here. They've also got the better then standard armor in the shoulder and elbow areas. Mine is red, black and silver and the wife's is all silver. These have a Lot of Airflow and are very cold when riding in Northern Laos, but fine when riding here where it's much warmer.

And yes the air-bag does work when you come off the bike and slide 20-30 meters down a wet greasy road.

We bought ours in CNX at the moto shop on the West side of the road about one kilometer North up from the Airport Central Department store. Cost was about 10,300Baht each. They can also be found in BKK.

    Cheers

I have been trying to find the Hit Air MLV-R in Thailand(http://www.eggparka.com/english/lineup/index.html) Any ideas anyone? FastCorner has Hit Air jackets but they only sell the older models with the older, slower system (not the newer S-System).

    Thanks,
