Hi Guys & Girls, just a quick intro as I now have some wheels again after a two year gap [couuldn't make up my mind what to buy after my beloved 'Busa]. Great site with lots of useful information. Hope to meet up with some of you before long, meanwhile still running in so restricted to 4000RPM :cry:

FWIW there are a lot of,folks who make a pretty compelling argument to forgo the factory recommended soft break in.

I break in all my engines the hard way and have been happy with the results.

Hi Tony,

Just got a Z1000SE last week but keeping the revs down for now. My mate run his new Kawa 1400 hard straight off and burst the motor although he managed to con a new one out of the dealer in KL eventually.

Hi Gnasher, I got a Z1000 - a bit of a change from my 'Busa that I had for ten years in Singapore & Malaysia but, so far, it's proving to be ideal for the roads around here with bags of torque.
