Found this site by chance.

Inquired for business fare Bkk - Frankfurt in August. High season for Europe.

They offered 39.400b on Srilanka Airways, stop over in Colombo.
That is cheaper than economy class on other airlines.

The fleet is Airbus only.
I would have tried it but the dates dont work.

did not come back with other offers which probably means they work for Srilanka Air only.

Reviews of Srilanka Air are ok, you get what you pay for.Because of my leg the overriding criteria for me is more space not food nor booth.
If anyone can give a hint how to find a good business class deal in early August. My eyes are cross and wall eyed from searching the net.

You want to have a look at their website: http://www.aandftour.com/ Cheers, Franz

Agent - Franz came back real prompt.
You were in luck , Franz-Eastern, I know Qatar Air has a wonderful business class, superb service, new planes, very compfy seats ( forget Doha which can be a nightmare)

Now the options are very limited according to agent Franz , LTU for 80.000 and Austrian for 100.000.

Pico, you ever been into the new Business/first class terminal at Doha ?? Most travellers hop off the bus at the "fish-class"terminal and don't wait for them to be further transported to the Business terminal, has got smoking room, duty free, good food and comfy seats.......cheers, fr

Well, Franz of the Eastern Seaboard, your suggestion was very good.

Franz of http://www.aandftour.com/
gave me one important hint=

with a Schengen Visa you can enter any Schengen country, there is no stipulation to enter the European Union (under the Schengen agreement ) through the country which granted the the Schengen Visa in the first place.
In practice = even so the Schengen Visa is granted by The Netherlands one can enter the EU through e.g. France or Italy.
This hint saves me money and travel time by cutting the stop overs to 1 only.
Thank you very much !!
