Even though you can't cross the bridge, I've looked at these bikes and will rent one myself some day. Multiple options are open for trips in Isan, consult the Isan Section of GT Rider. I especially like the ride Nong Khai - Udon - Loie - Mekong back, good little 2 day/1 night run.
