Hello to one and all,

Just found this site - looks good.

Will be doing research for when we arrive from the UK via NZ and OZ around November time on Two Yamaha XT660's.

We have been to Thailand and Cambodia, backpacking in our younger days and want to see it all again under our own steam. (now we are old !!)

Any advice/tips are most welcome

Paul and Angie

Hi Guys,
When You get up here to Chiang Mai look Us up. Lots of Guys here to offer some Advice or tips. Love Your Choice of Bikes! I owned the XT500, 550 and 600 in New Zealand and Loved them! Unfortunately Yamaha don't sell the 660 here? Good Luck and See You here!

Gday & Welcome.
It sure sounds like a good trip coming up.
When you get here I'd like to meet you. The easiest 2 places for meare (1) the X-Centre (5 minutes away) or (2) the Kafe, in town 18 kms away.
You have to start off with the Samoeng loop
https://www.gt-rider.com/thailand-motorcycle-forum/showthread.php/38966-The-Samoeng-Loop-Pottering-around
for an easy half day ride from Chiang Mai, so the X-Centre in Mae Rim is the place

Do the loop & end up at Mae Rim Plaza for a 69 baht bike wash.

excellent value for money & good for some TLC on the bike.
