I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone this year & endeavour take in both Chinese & Lisu New Year at the same time from the "one location" Arunothai.
Clever thinking you might say,but neither of them worked very well. Only the Lisu New Year was slightly acceptable.

The village: Lin Luang at the sam yaek, army checkpoint 6kms before Arunothai on R1178.
A few photos...

because of the weather it's been a few years since there has been so much / any water & these Lisu kids were making the most of it.

One of the remarkable village characters

No house. No family. One leg. How the hell does he survive?
But we had a good time celebrating the new year.
