Looking to buy a clapped out Honda CRM 250 or any other model 250

I would like to buy a Honda 250 any model, with a green book.
A CRM 250 would be preferred but another model will do. Am really
looking to just transfer the green book, and then part the bike out.
So a bike with a blown engine would be fine..... :)

As far as I am aware there will also be an engine number 'imprint' somewhere on file and throwing a different engine in (unless you use the old cases etc.) will give you grief at the DLT guaranteed.

But FWIW - I love the CRM idea in general, and had been looking around for a plated KDX250 myself for a while - saw a few pop up for sub-60k with books, not bad... all things considered.

It does, but the DLT doesn't seem to care - as long as the number 'imprints' match you are all good I believe.

Just have to be careful , as some of the land transport offices will look up the frame number to
see if it matches the model of the bike...

rideinthai is right, When I went over to Chiang Mai with my CRM 250 in the back of our pickup truck to change the green book in to our name that's exactly what they did a imprint of the frame number and engine number. I did have a moment of worry when he came back out with another guy and they did the engine again ! When I got there I started to take the bike off the pickup but they said no need to they just jumped up in the back and done it in the back of the pickup.
And yes all CRM250 engine cases are inter changeable only the mk1 oil pump bearing is about 1 and 1/2 mm smaller than the mk2,3 and Ar model .
You can try the japans Rinkya.com online auction I got a lot of parts from here to rebuild my CRM even a full mk2 engine in very good condition for a bit Less than $150 oz'y and add shipping this will not help with a green book but its the best place to find just about any part you need from frames to electrics everything.
