Hotels were crowded in Mai Sai during these festive days. As I had to do a "visa run", I still was able to reserve rooms in Mai Sai Guest House (I had used it previously). Bungalows on the river are 600 THB.
The mornings are quite "fun" with 11 degrees and some wind to add to the sensation. Good night cloth are recommended.
