The only 650 among the off roaders...3 KTN200 , 1 KTN250 , 1 CRF and my Monster 650. Just wana see how my Thumper performs in offroad trails thru wet terrains...oil palm estates, rubber estates, muddy potholes, slippery grass, hilly and muddy gradiants.
Simply a ride I'll never forget with my KLR 650...torque was good and able to keep up with the smaller ones. just love it...

Hell that was a Sticky Hill, I'm surprised You could stay upright let alone make it up there! Well done! Unfortunately They don't sell the KLR here but if they did at a good price I Bet they would sell quite a few of them! I would get one!

Good on ya for taking that big 650 into such challenging terrain! The pic above is obviously before the mud. I want to see what you looked like AFTER! :happy2:

Tehsk30 that must have been hard work with this heavy weight trough all of this mud !

Ian, there's one new 2013 model for sale at Red Baron but for ouchhhhh what a price B 518,000.- !
If Kawa ever decides to sell this thumper, one can only assume that their prices will not be far from the Red Baron one and that's heavy.

    Cheers, Franz

OMG that's around US$18000!!! For a bike that sells for only ~$6300 back home! That is an obscene price, perhaps a mistake even? I'll quiz Khun Vikrom about it next time I see him.

Surprisingly easy to handle....tougher on the muddy hills though....very versatile n enough torque to ride thru deep puddles of mud....as it was raining heavily the day before

new one cost around RM45,000.00 in Malaysia more than a Versys as its CBU unlike CKD for Versys.
bought mine 2nd hand for RM25500.00 2009 model
did some upgrading to the doohickey by eagle mike, front sprocket changed, using 20/50w and progrip 737 X grips....
loved it n its a keeper...

Is yours a carburated one I wonder or are there models abroad that have already Fuel Injection fitted ? What's the weight of your bike fuelled up ? Txs, FR

all the model carburetted...incl 2013 models....but a friend of mine is now in the midst of completion his KLR to fuel injection. as for the weight...no idea didn read it up...but a tankful est RM38.00 i have done on Msian highway 380km from KL to Penang without refueling at a constant 110-120kmh.
