Just had a look at the z800 in Rama 9. I tried my hardest to get a test ride or put a deposit down :)

A Kawasaki salesman told a good friend of mine that the z1000 is to get a new price of 550,000 to make more competitive with the z800!! Pinch of salt or TiT but interesting info all the same.

Well - the Z1000 on display at Kawasaki CM now costs 550,000.

So he may be on to something there.

Been confirmed by Kawasaki now with bike available from Aug 29th, 375k is correct but still some confusion as to whether this is the abs or non-abs price, some Thai friends on facebook said 350k is non-abs and 375k for abs but not confirmed. Either way it is a great bike at a great price, quite a bit less than most people thought it would be!

Popped into Kawasaki Phuket today to ask some questions.

The Thai model will not have ABS, salesman said maybe for 2015 model if demand is high but price will go up by 25,000!!

The drive away price is 375,000 + 2,500 for tax & license plate...that's it! They don't insist but recommend 1st class insurance, which is 17,000thb btw.

They don't have any on display or in stock until next month . I really wanted to sit on one & test how big it is for my 6'3" (191cm) tallness. I'm hoping it's somewhere between a er-6 & a versys......the z1000 is big enough for me but can't justify the price tag!!
Oh well, i will go & have a sit next month. ;)
