This time our trip was quite different as we were using multiple mode of transportations to venture. We tried flight,minivan,bot,tuk-tuk and of course, bikes.

Thanks a lot to our brother,Jim,for making this trip. Eventhough we did not meet that day but everything was ok. Thanks again.

We started our journey from Kuala Lumpur by Airasia direct to Ching Mai. From there we went to Chiang Khong via minivan. Overnight there and staright away to Houei Xai and met with Jim's agent to collect bikes.

It was so cold in Laos during this season.

Main road in town of Houei Xai. The bus station is about 1km.

The bikes were still on the truck. They were heavy to bring them down alone.

The bus station is dusty and not many people around as too early.

    Checking the bikes.

Great photos mate. Many thanks for the trip report. It's easy to see you guys had a great time. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves so much & took lots of photos. I reckon that's the reason you arrived after dark a couple of times - too many photos. But that's what you've got to do when you're out there riding on holidays - take photos!

Having just arrived in Luang Prabang from Luang Nam Tha last night I can say that the road Na Teuy - Oudom Xai - Pak Mong sucks at the moment & is almost as bad as it was 15 years ago. No fun & most unenjoyable! Maybe only enjoyable on a 250 dirt bike. Whilst the road surface is not difficult, it is bloody tiring poor-broken asphalt covered with gravel & stones, joined by bumpy dirt. Chuck in the busy traffic & it is dangerous with no room for error, sliding round a corner on the wrong side.

I bet you guys were real pleased with Nazim too. "He" sure gets around with his restaurants & makes life easier for our Muslim riders. 3 cheers for Nazim eh?

Many thanks again for the report.
