Certainly something to be aware of. There are however 2 solutions to this manufacturing issue for those concerned:

1. Don't use gasohol, or use it judiciously - it's the ethanol that can break down and over time cause the tank to swell. Possible fix is to ensure your last fill is always Benzine (the bikes will run fine on 91).

2. Remove tank and coat inside with Caswell epoxy - designed to help seal old or reconditioned tanks - works on plastic and steel.
