Preah Vihear / Siem Reap / Kompong Thom road conditions

Hi all,

A couple of friends are travelling in Cambo and I just want to share this with you:

The road up to the site [PV] is a VERY steep narrow cement road except that they are constructing a new road on top of it so it's a bit tricky in places. Glad they were not working on the hairpins yesterday! The road is paved all the way to Siem Reap now - 200km of it though we did about 45km on the dirt before we joined it. The road up from Kompong Thom is also under construction - dirt, fully paved, half paved, laterite, the complete mix and the worst bits in towns along the way as usual.
