3rd day in Udon - Red Lotus Sea Festival

Venue: Wat Ban Tium, Chiang Haeo sub-district, KumPavapi district, Udon Thani
The red lotus sea in KumPavapi district, Udon Thani is best witnessed in the cool season from November to February. Tourist will see red lotuses full blooming in the fresh water swamp, which is the water resources of lake filled with a variety of fish, birds, wildlife and aquatic plants.
The red lotus sea is best witnessed during the cool season from November to February. The perfect time to see the beautiful red lotuses in full booming is in the morning from 6am to 11am, but tourists can take a boat tour for sightseeing around the lake all day.
In 2014, the Red Lotus Sea Festival or “Talay Bua Daeng Baan” Festival is taking place from 13-15 January at Nong Han KumPavapi Lake.
Tourist can also choose and buy the best of Udon Thani products and other goods while visiting the red lotus sea.
