Road death numbers in Thailand.

I find these numbers staggering. 36.2 people per 100,000 are killed on the roads in Thailand each year.

To put that in prospective. The MCG, Australia’s largest sporting stadium holds 100,000 people, on football grand final day when its full, it would be like 36 people in that stadium will die in the coming year due to a road accident.

Only Lybia with 71.4 deaths per 100,000 has a higher death rate.

If You look at the amount of Scooters on the Road and most don't wear a Helmet it is not so Surprising? Plus the Fact most of the Scooter Riders are Oblivious to anyone else and just go where ever they like with out checking for any other Traffic? That would be My guess for the High Numbers?
