A little ways off topic but thought I would share another of my passions with you. On this coming Friday, the 15th, there will be a Annular Solar Eclipse that will deliver about 80% coverage viewed from Northern Thailand at approximately 1540 local time. Break out some welders glass or make a pinhole camera and give it a look. And if your in Laos, watch for people shooting at the sun to chase the frog away. :D

What is an Annular Solar Eclipse? An annular eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. Hence the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon.

Wish I was in LOS and not the desert...

    Cheers,

    Eric
