South of Mae Hong Son there's a good asphalt road - the Nam Phiang Din road - that runs west out to the Mynamar border, basically alongside the Pai river.
Its only 16 kms, but it a beauty for a half day cruise.
Well worth the ride. A deserted road, unlimited fresh mountain air.
