We all have watched 'Easy Rider' probably several times, but I didn't know that this was not Peter Fonda's first 'biker movie'. The Wild Angels is a 1966 Roger Corman film, made three years before Easy Rider and was the first film to associate actor Peter Fonda with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and 1960s counterculture. It was also the film that inspired the outlaw biker film genre that continued into the early 1970s, according to Wikipedia.
Maybe you've watched it already, if not, it is more violent than "Easy Rider' and shows the bikers in a not so good light. It is supposed to have inspired Peter Fonda to make "Easy Rider'.
It also features Bruce Dern and his wife Diane Ladd which is the mother of Laura Dern.
Maybe I'm the only one who hasn't seen it before, but if not, download it; it's not a great movie but it has few good moments in it, like Peter Fonda in church saying to the pastor: "We want to be free! We want to do what we want to do!" before beating him up.
