as title says, is there a colour difference between gasohol 95 and benzene 95 ?
Not that I have noticed when draining tanks a,carbs etc , no dye or color difference is apparent.
Agree with monsterman, looks and smells the same. The alchohol will not add any colour, but it sounds like a good idea for the mixing company to add a small amount of dye to allow identification later. Like they do in the UK with Methylated spirits. Purple colour.
I suppose it would cost too much to do that. The easiest way to tell the difference would be to use a hydrometer, because the higher the alcohol content the lower the density. Not sure you can buy them over here.
