Nice one Beat. Hope we'll see a few photos? As Capt Slash says, there are many great roads around Nan so take your time and enjoy.
If you are heading North from Nan do not forget to get on Route 1148 which is largely voted the best bike road in the North.
Look forward to your next report.

Thanks for the trip report.
It's great to know you're doing the Doi Phukha loop - what I rate as North Thailand's most spectacular ride 'n loop in the North.

Nan is my favourite Thai town for no good reason other than I just like it there.

This is what I get for trying to be proactive, guys...!  I figured instead of holding my report till all is complete and I can post the pix, I get started someplace out there in a net cafe. You know, sometimes I need to exert pressure on myself to follow my own intentions!
Anyhow, I'm working on the remainder of my report including the photos. If you bear with me just a tad longer, you'll get it all!
