No trouble, it was a bit naughty of me posting a straight hyperlink too. That would not be allowed in some places.

HOTEL ROOMS NEAR EVENT SITE

Xen (the event site) have released 17 rooms to us.

If you want to attend they are 1,200b for a twin (bear in mind this is a luxury hotel)

When you contact them you MUST tell them its for the Motorcycle event, otherwise they will tell you fully booked.

Xen Hideaway: (Khun Kan) 081 550 0522 chanikan@xenhotels.com

PLEASE NOTE. Book A.S.A.P as we lose the block booking hold at Xen after the 10th November

This next bit is courtesy of Kanwin, Thanks Kan

Comsaed River Kwai Resort with 107 beautifully furnished, spacious deluxe rooms

which is 19 km from downtown on the 3199 heading north.

At Lad Ya traffic lights trun left over the bridge and then trun right. It's on your right hand side down this little road.

As mentioned already

Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort with 194 rooms are nestled amongst lush greenery

and just before this resort is

Nichigo Golf Country Club with Guest Rooms
Golf course view rooms 36
Jr. Suite rooms 16
Deluxe rooms 48

Aek-Pailin River Kwai Hotel with 105 guest rooms and suites with balcony and air condition,

4 to 5 kms up road from the Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort and 7 to 8 kms up the road to Xen Hideaway Resort.

All in all enough rooms I think. If not then head back to town and please don't drink and ride you might spill it.

Thanks again Kan.

I have been told that this area is a sort after weekend holiday destination for people so PLEASE, if you are coming book NOW.

We are going up again on Sunday to scout out some cheaper Hotels but they will be further from the bike week event.

Also limited camping will be available if you like that sort of thing biggrin.gif

Hey guys,
Chris asked if I could pass this update to everyone (his computer is having some problems at the moment).

The meeting point has been changed for the ride to Kanchanaburi, it is no longer at Future Park Rangsit. It is now down the road at the first major P.T.T. gas/petrol station on the left, heading in the direction of Kanchanaburi on Route 324.

The departure time is the same 10:45 am

Hi Everyone,

The DMCT/Thai Visa Benefit Bike Weekend is in Kanchanaburi this weekend 21 -22 November 2009. It is just around the corner. Only 5 days and counting.

REMEMBER this is for the Foundation for Children which is a registered charity providing schooling and care for Orphans or disadvantaged children here in Thailand. It's a chance to give back to this beautiful country many of us now call home, We are particularly collecting for Moon ban dek orphanage school in Kanchanaburi ; See here for FFC details www.ffc.or.th

FFC rely on donations and help like ours, because they get NO money from the Thai Government.

If you would like to attend, please look at the accommodation on this page. http://dragonsmcthailand.com/InfoPage.html

If you cannot attend you can make a simple donation through:

http://dragonsmcthailand.com/ATM_Donati ... _Week.html

Remember that even if you give just 50 baht that it all adds up

(Example, 100 forum members giving just 50b = 5,000b extra for the kids).

Foundation for Children is in need of your help…. Bikers and Non Bikers are invited to attend the event or help with donations.

For more information about the event , look here: www.dragonsmcthailand.com

Or contact Chris at 084 915 7009 / chris_president@dragonsmcthailand.com
