Interesting as the standard GS is 60k cheaper than what I was quoted at the show and the ADV 50k less.
The prices I was quoted were "under review" and were not available in printed form when I asked.
It appears that BMW have taken a view on the softening market.
Let's hope KTM revise some of their eye-popping figures!

Unpleasant but hardly surprising news.
Since when did new bike prices coincide with logic?
Thanks for the clarification Franz.
Shocked

Take everything you read on http://www.motorcycle.in.th with a grain of salt... Owner goes by RichardBKK on ThaiVisa where he is ridiculed regularly...

Tony thanks for the warning it explains some of the bilge on ThaiVisa.
He's certainly behind the costings curve [sadly] on this one.

It perhaps would generate an interesting debate on pricing, as well as how and to whom the importers market bikes here.

I am convinced that for BMW especially & possibly Yamaha farangs are not considered an important market for their bikes.

Whilst we are more price conscious, being aware what they cost are in our home markets,
we are definitely more demanding/hassle knowing what service standards should be.

KTM sadly appear to be following suit concentrating on the prestige 1M bht models
and not cogniscent of farang interest in the 690s.
They are holding a track day this Saturday in BKK for the HiSos only,
to test ride the RC8, 990ADV & Super Duke R.

But it is still early days yet and they may evolve as the demand becomes clearer.
