It was the 211 for me this trip, only because the Mekong is fuller now and I prefer to cut across the mountains

The surface is in good condition all the way with no repair work going on at the moment

At this spot here I have walked out to virtually the middle of the river and its only a narrow rushing stream later on in the season

A decent road and plenty of greenery here

After Tha Bo these are probably the only things worth looking at, it gets flat and very hot

None of the restaurants have been set up here yet as there is no space for them on the riverbank yet, only a few vegetables have been planted

After leaving Nong Khai its highway 2 to Udon
