Thanks Pico-

In fact PayPal was set up to encourage overseas donations. If you are in Thailand funds can be transferred or deposited to this account;

Chiang Mai ToyRide
Bank: Thanachart Bank
Branch: Central Airport, Chiangmai
Acct.No: 507-2-02239-7

This information and more is also available on the Chiang Mai ToyRide webpage; www.chiangmaitoyride.com
see "How Can I Help". Very Happy

GT Rider will be a headline sponsor @ 25,000 baht for the Chiang Mai ToyRide. If anyone wants to help defray the costs you are welcome to assist. Franz has already chipped in 5,000 baht.

For some of you wealthier GT Riders with companies, who feel the 25,000 baht is too high, there is a 2nd tier sponsorship level of 5,000 baht (US$150). This qualifies you as a major sponsor. As a major sponsor you are entitled to

• An advertising box and link on the homepage of the website
• A prominent listing on the website’s sponsors page
• A position on the back of the event T- shirt
• A logo on the event banner
• A discount on a booth at the event party

Now 5,000 baht is not a lot of money. Some of you would easily spend this in a night out on the town, so how about diverting a small amount of funds to supporting the Chiang Mai ToyRide & putting smiles of faces of children in need? It’s a very worthy cause & you will be helping promote a positive image of motorcycling in the Kingdom.

Any contributions / support you can provide is welcome.

Email: info@chiangmaitoyride.com for more info

Guilty !!

My dues are not yet in. I committed 5000.
On the road but hope to make the transfer in time. In any event you can count the money in.
Thought the event is next year.

Sunday 16th November 2008.
Chiang Dao Charity Give away

What a beautiful rewarding day.

The start at Richco Motosports.

The way, east of Chiang Dao. Absolutely glorious weather.

The set up at the school

Blankets, school supplies & stuffed toys for the kids.

THANK YOU to the Chiang Mai ToyRide Sponsors
1. BMW Discovery Motor Tours
2. Harley Davidson Bangkok
3. Richco Motorsports
4. Tesco Lotus
5. Active Thailand
6. Chiang Mai X-Centre
7. Give & Live Charity Foundation
8. GSSM Chiang Mai
9. GT Rider
10. Kurt & Mon’s Restaurant
11. Niyom Panich Triumph
12. North Comets
13. Number 1 Bar
14. Tuskers Bar
15. Wild Planet Bkk

Khru Khun Jai, receiving school supplies from Richy & Scott

Blankets were given out to each household in the village & every rider got to participate in the give away.

There were smiling faces all round

Just a blanket, but very contented

and some extremely happy

no matter how old & with a stuffed toy!

Even the back-up staff joined in

But it's the toy give away that wins the kids over, especially when you can make your own selection; and littlest ones first!

What a contented feeling

Does this doll really look like me?

Something for everyone

I got the best one

Arh yes, victory

Mine's pretty good too, & makes me happy

Overall, everyone's happy

Time to go home

Back towards Chiang Dao

And there she is, Doi Chang Dao

Twas a great day. Thank you all those who came, & helped put smiles on the faces of those in need.

A special "Thank You" to Tom Forde, ChiangMaiRich and Ray23 for your generous contributions given to the ToyRide during Chiang Mai Bike Week.

Also to "Max", a guy who just walked up to me and donated 5,000baht! I invited him to join the GT-Rider board and hopefully we will soon know his full name and he will join us on some of our rides.

Thanks to all! Very Happy

In addition to the Chiang Mai Toy Ride parade on January 4th, starting from Tesco Lotus Khamtieng & ending at the X-Centre Zorb Ball Park in Mae Rim, there will be a charity ride on Childrens Day Saturday 10th January.

The children's day ride will be out to Bo Kaew, 26 kms past Samoeng.
200 hilltribe kids will receive toys & blankets from the Chiang Mai Toy Ride. This should also be quite an event, & all motorcyclists are welcome to participate.

More details later on the Toy Ride website
