If I'm back looks like I will be straight on the road with a Kiwi journalist for a story, sorry.
My suggestion (again) would the Chiang Mai - Phrao- Chiang Dao loop, with a "significant' lunch stop at Kurt & Mon's in Chiang Dao. Then ride home down 107 at your own leisure. _________________ Davidfl

Or just the Samoeng loop, ending up at the X-Centre, also with good food & drink. _________________ Davidfl

The Samoeng Loop sounds nicer, a bit shorter and sweeter than the Chiang Dao loop.
You're bringing a journo' along!!
Hope he's not looking for any stunt riders out of us |

I am completely open about where we go, but at least it looks like there are people wanting to go, I will get back to Chiang Mai on 23rd and it will be nice to meet up with a few fresh faces coming along on this ride. If we are going to do the route David suggested with the lunch break at Mon&Kurts I must e-mail Kurt to make sure he is open, I know its usually only wednesdays that he closes, the food there is good with very generous portions _________________ If Typhoo Put The T In Britain Who Put The C_unt In Scunthorpe

So where does everyone want to meet up then? I will suggest the Kafe unless a different location is preferred. I dont have a phone so just leave messages here _________________ If Typhoo Put The T In Britain Who Put The C_unt In Scunthorpe

Count me in for an afternoon or evening cruise through the countryside - good chance to give the new GF an outing on the 'new' bike and either route is fine with me.
Is there a plan for Christmas Dinner???
- and if there is not, should there not be?
- ditto, for New Years Eve...
Cheers

Don't mind where we go, but Someong Loop a bit too short, we would be back in time for lunch.
As Ian bungy suggested another option at end of ride is to end up at the X-Centre in mae rim for chrissy eve drinks..... _________________ Cheers

I blasted up to the X Center to pick up your trail, but no sign of the biking brothers!
Not to worry, they'll be other days... |

Ble Max, you missed a good ride, perhaps next time then....
Perhaps 10-10.30 was too early as there were no new faces on the ride, just 6 of us on 4 bikes
Weather fine and sunny, not too hot, great scenery.... PARADISE _________________ Cheers
