Hi guys,

I am planning to travel by Minsk through Vietnam, Thailand, Loas and Cambodia from March 2012 onwards.

The plan is to fly to BKK, travel north to Loas, enter Vietnam and go all the way down, through Cambodia and finally back to BKK.

I have read many blogs and searched this site for information regarding the border crossings and it has been very helpful but I am still not sure as to how easy it will be to cross these borders with a Thai registered bike, and whether it's a good idea buying a bike in Thailand rather than Vietnam.

Can anyone give me some advise in this regard?

Also, is anyone planning to travel through any of these countries next year? It would be awesome to meet up and maybe do a section together!
