A friendly word on entering Laos from Vietnam. If you get across and are planning to enter Thailand - Get Your Paperwork in order from the Laos Customs office upon arrival.

One stranded Minsk rider has gotten help from me but in the end no luck in crossing out as he had no paperwork at all from Lao Customs for his arrival.

The border points at Nam Meo, Nam Can, Dansavanh, Dong Cralor are well know for not issuing Green papers but as experience has shown, it's always best to get them even if they say "No Problem"
