Just returned from riding in Laos. 8 crazy Americans with a lust for adventure. Much thanks to David & Stan for help with the trip and renting bikes in Vientianne. Stan is the man to contact in Laos. Fantastic road from Kasi to L.P. and out to the Plain of Jars. David's map of Laos is a must and very excellent quality. His recommendations for hotels, guest houses and resturants are the best, plus cold Beerlao.

The $3.00 US/night guest house at the Y intersection in Phou Khoun is OK for a half way stop between Vte and L.P. It has unlimited bath water via a 55 gallon barrel with a dipping pale. Gas is also available there.

This was an experience of a life time and we are already planning on continuning the adventure next year. Anyone needing current advice, feel free to contact me.
