hi everybody

two weeks ago i've tried to get into vietnam on my bmw r80 gs at the border crossing of cau treo (between lak sao in laos and vinh in vietnam). as i've heard that motorcyclers are sometimes lucky at this bordercrossing i've thought to give it a try. however, there was no chance to get into vietnam, i've tried everything. according to the officials, the only way to legally enter the country on one's own motorcycle is to submit an official request to the head of police ministry in hanoi. time of processing: many many months...
