I'm currently in Nan, Doi Pukha, doing the northern runs. Looking to go into Laos with a pal and rent bikes there. If we cross at Chiang Kong via boat, are there places up that far from Vientanne to rent motorcycles, and where?

Looking to rent north and driver south to drop in Vientanne if possible. Emailed GREEN Discovery but no answer.
