Left Luang Prabang at 2.09 pm after a late breakfast the good Dr & Robert heading for that delightfully boring place Phonsavanh.
The weather was awesome - nice & warm & clear, so it was a leisurely ride North.
Luang Prabang - Pak Mong 1 /12 hrs.
Pak Mong to Udom Sai was a sedate 2 hrs. The fading light was brilliant & I stopped for heaps of photos.
Going at a slower than normal pace I noticed that the road seemed more bumpy that I remembered, otherwise it is ok & all asphalt right the way to Udom Sai.
Apart from 1 chicken & 1 piglet it was a nice clean run.
The best ghouse in Udom Sai - the Linda was full - so I'm camped at the one across the street, the Pholay restaurant. They have the best food, but the rooms are crap. Hot water, but no water pressure or working electric hot water heater. My pen rai you cant win them all.
