i found a factory making decent m/c jackets and pants here in hanoi. the factory is called the number 20 company and it is SW of the 2 towers shopping area. they sell the stuff at a store in the 2 towers on the second floor and also at a store next to the factory. bought a jacket, vest, and pants for about $40 US. will put exact street down when i have my map. definitely worth checking out.

it is called the #20 company. located at the end of Phan Dinh Giot street. turn west just south of the Song Set River in south hanoi off the main thoroughfare running north and south.
