It was straight down the 105 for todays trip, no improvement in terms of any tarmac being layed since I last rode this route in march. In fact as I got to where the road was being widened the dirt was hard packed but weeds are starting to grow out of it having been left so long, I rode for a few kms before I came to any machinery working on more widening. Is there a shortage of tarmac in Thailand at the moment? it just seems strange that they havent finished any sections off as they are going south. The entire journey has no dodgy bits to watch out for and was as pleasant as any time I have ridden this road. The Fortune guest house that I have always stayed at has closed so I had to look around for somewhere to stay, the first place wanted 250 and the next one 400 but I was told at S P Restaurant where I always eat to try the Bai Fern restaurant/guesthouse, here its only 150 so this will be home here from now on.
