I recently went to Chiang Mai for a week's holiday with my brother. We rented motorcycles and did a 5-day loop round Doi Inthanon, Mae Chaem, Khun Yuam, Mae Hong Son and Pai.
We had a great time and I put photos, stories, thumbnail maps, useful addresses and links in a section on my website:

Before the holiday I read David's website a number of times; during the holiday I used his Mae Hong Son Loop map (bought new) and his book "The Mae Hong Son Loop" (bought secondhand in Chiang Mai: is the book still available/in print?)
