I was looking at the specifications of the F800GS and its a claimed 85BHP, the road versions were 80BHP and the GS version was supposedly going to be detuned, it looks like the opposite has happened. Interesting to note the BMW engine is producing 30% more bhp per cc than the most powerful of the Triumph twins, is this just down to the fact that being watercooled it can be tuned more

Went to the bangkok Motorshow yesterday, what a let down.

Went last year to the same show, heaps of bike there, even had Nicky Hayden's Motogp bike.

This year, zero bikes, not even any on BMW car stand. There was one Harley V Rod on the Ford stand as Ford are doing a HD theme on one of their pick ups, and both pick up and bike painted in same coulour scheme.

And local bike sporting club had a few small race bikes, even a couple of Vespa'a and a Lambretta LI150 in race trim.

Looking forward to the show in April, as Rhodie mentioned YSS shocks will be having a stand there as well

I phoned the local gym and I asked if they could teach me how to do the splits. He said, 'How flexible are you?' I said, 'I can't make Tuesdays or Thursdays.'

I asked Barcelona Phuket about the Dakar model and got this answer:

Refer your question about *Dakar* BMW Thailand actually don't have in
order now otherwise we would like to present the new model as you can
come at our showroom.

Also please contact Mr.Chairith Bike sale supervisor on mobile phone

Yesterday got an invitation letter from BMW-Motorcycles Thailand for the Bangkok Motorshow. As expected, no mention of any of the new bikes above.........Just some offers for new and showroom/testing bikes we all know since years with the note to look up further details in their website, well opened their website, I think they have not updated anything for more than one year...........no mention of used or testing bikes available.
Good that the competition is coming in, sales for BMW will drop significantly.......just found another Ex-BMW staff at Yamaha in Bangkok, with all the good ones running away, only the ones who do not know anything about customer service to be left there........it's a pity but can't be helped.......
