Prior to departure from Chiang Mai

There were speeches by the Yamaha top brass, and the chief of the Land Transport in Chiang Mai...

Doi Inthanon Summit - Team Photo. Guess what the question was...
1.) Was it "Hands up, those who want a beer?"
2.) Or was it "Hands up, those who think Yamaha rules, ok?"

Lunch at the Royal Project

Presenting the funds to the School

The Concert Party

Team Photo at the School

Bent-Out-of-Shape Harley - its looks a lot better shiny-side up than it did when it was laying on its back with its wheels spinning in the air! We were all very relieved to see Richard getting to his feet after his somersault over the Armco barrier!!! Aside from a bruised arm, he was unhurt. The Harley needs some work, after running around the Armco for quite a few meters, then taking out a large signpost at the end of the barrier!

A Couple of Times During the Day - Dinner and Dancing was mentioned... but I don't think many people guessed what this meant...

Note the happy expressions on the faces of the observers on the inside of the showroom...

Some people were without a 10x optical zoom lens, and had to get closer to acquire a good photo...

The Yamaha police bike was cool - although the ventilation systems in Captain Slash's trousers did add an unexpected element to this photo.

A few more photos,

Taking care of the Land Transport Office Staff. Very Smart!

I can only repeat what has already been said. One of the best organized events I have ever attended.

Thanks to Yamaha, the Police, and all involved.

And here's what his camera saw....

No optical illusions & worth getting up close to.
Ride on Yamaha!

Can only chime in with the chorous here, was a great event, and
also my first group-ride and trip over the doi inthanon.

Unlike David, I was too shy to get down on my knees in front
of the ladies, and my camera doesn't have a zoom either, but
I also got a picture.

Note the *very* grinning guy on the right. Wink

The happy very grinning guy on the right is none other than

And I'm sure his happiness was real as the event went down so well; plus he knows he's been getting good feedback from GT Riders.
If you want to tell Yamaha something about their bike import for Thailand, they are all ears & want to do the right thing by us bikers (& their sales.)
One of the projects they are mulling over is a Yamaha big bike rental service between Chiang Mai & Phuket. So if you think it's a good idea, then drop Sirichai
sirichaik@yamaha-motor.co.th
a line telling him what bike you'd like for this & how much you'd be prepared to pay.
