Non Khai
Mut Mee guesthouse is a fun and relaxing place, with character (and sometimes "characters", Marco dixit Wink). As a “budget” pick from Lonely Planet it is often crowded. It offers a bunch of different lodging possibilities but I am particularly fond of the bungalow facing the river (550 THB). The tropical garden is addictive and breakfast could just last for ever. In the evening there is a bar on the river (Gaia bar) and a boat for a sunset cruise.

rooms 150 – 800 THB

A bungalow room

Inside bungalow room

Garden restaurant

Some breakfast

Relaxing in the garden

The Mut Mee Gaia bar

"Mut Mee" sunset cruises

Udon Thani
White Elephant (a guest house managed like a boutique hotel for 500 THB)
Udondusadee Road 244/45 soi 3 Changsaw
www.elephantblanc.com 042 326 834

The owner (Jacqui) is a French expatriate with a Thai wife (Amorn).
French speaking people are often hanging around. Buffet dinner with Jacqui's "plat du jour" is available as well as wine. It is a clean and charming place, with all amenities and even a small swimming pool.
