Non Khai
Mut Mee guesthouse is a fun and relaxing place, with character (and sometimes "characters", Marco dixit ). As a “budget” pick from Lonely Planet it is often crowded. It offers a bunch of different lodging possibilities but I am particularly fond of the bungalow facing the river (550 THB). The tropical garden is addictive and breakfast could just last for ever. In the evening there is a bar on the river (Gaia bar) and a boat for a sunset cruise.

White Elephant (a guest house managed like a boutique hotel for 500 THB)
Udondusadee Road 244/45 soi 3 Changsaw

The owner (Jacqui) is a French expatriate with a Thai wife (Amorn).
French speaking people are often hanging around. Buffet dinner with Jacqui's "plat du jour" is available as well as wine. It is a clean and charming place, with all amenities and even a small swimming pool.
