Si Saket
Living In The Past, run by a German named Frank who makes some of the nicest pizzas I have ever eaten in Thailand, the pork steak and fries is very good value and excellent flavour as well, it is located just behind the Police Station. The Sugar Pub, very friendly people there, both Thais, and Expats, I stay at the Si Saket Hotel at 150 Baht per night |

Richard and his wife 'Ting' run the place; still may be the only farang place in town. A friendly place. In the past they have been able to book a room for you in advance, at the Thai owned hotel just behind their Cafe. Nice rooms with AC, HW, cable TV, and parking. About 300-Bt (but room rates double everywhere in town during the July Candle Festival)
Richard can be contacted at: mobile - 086-868=6661 or

No it's not, there is many other farang places in Ubon.
That rooms behind W-Way is widely used as short time hotel as it's nicely hided and bit of the eyes in the town, but if that wont disturb you, i can say also, rooms are nice, Basic but nice, with THAI-cable TV.
Main road absolute middle of the town, not like Wway, what is actually side of the town is Cozy Restaurant, run by Mattias (Swed) Chayakoon Rd. just beside of Kasikorn Bank.
Also bit side of the town is N-JOY bar and restaurant, this is close by Ubon jail so accommodation can be arranged as well.
On the way to Airport just opposite of Air force entrance is (I think) OZ run restaurant what is serving very nice B-Fast. _________________ The problem with the designated driver program, it's not a desirable job, but if you ever get sucked into doing it, have fun with it.
