| Marco, I've seen PADDOCK has quite a choice, it's on Ratchadapisek Rd. Further on in Chiang Mai's Panthip is the northern branch of FAST CORNER and he did have also some good gear. There's one also in Bangkok. Please go to 'New Users' and try the Geocities site about Bkk-Shops. I got all my gear from abroad, therefor it fits perfect. Good luck, Franz |

Hi Friends,
For such purchases, I would recommand:
-Red Baron Bangkok who have from time to time some lots at very interesting prices (sometimes it's gloves, or helmets or jackets) for road and multipurpose rides.
-Dirt Shop Bangkok who has all an off-road rider could dream, all year long, service is as well perfect as Red Baron (just imagine I bought one year ago motocross boots there and they accepted to exchange it for one size bigger as it was a bit small, with no discussion as the boots were still brand new...)
I know as well Fast Corner Bangkok, specially as they arre the representative of K&N filters (they have it all if not within short delay) but it looks much more as a "boutique de mode" for me than a biker shop, importing Momo helmets, trendy apparels and others fashions
Hope it helps _________________ Laurent Paris-Bangkok |

For a jacket I'd recommend this one
Alpinestars T-Breeze Air-Flo Jacket
The T-Breeze Air-Flo textile boasts a clean retro design, perfect for summer but with the added convenience of non-water absorbing construction.
Available from the Dirt Shop in Bkk
http://www.dirtshopthailand.com/product/pro_detail.php?cid=147&cid_pr=147&pid=786&cname=ALPINESTARS
Construction 600 Denier poly fabric outer shell for abrasion resistance. Non-water absorbing mesh construction. Removable water/wind resistant full-sleeve thermal liner. Waist connection zipper allows attachment to selected Alpinestars leather pants. Multiple stitched main seam construction for maximum tear resistance. Comfort Adjustable tabs on the waist and sleeves to aid a secure fit. Pre curved sleeves for riding comfort. Safety Removable CE certified elbow and shoulder protectors. Back protector compartment with a foam back pad (CE-certified RC back protector available as accessory).
I have one on order from Yamaha Square in Chiang Mai. 4 of these jackets have been sold to expats in Cnx.
GT Rider webmaster Ben has one & loves it.
Strong mesh - cool, plus good body armour built in & a removable zip in/out plus a liner. The Alpinestars body armour is superior to the light foam in my current Joe Rocket. Check it out. I reckon this must be the best mesh jacket with built in body armour for Thailand & can’t wait for mine to turn up in Cnx. _________________ Davidfl

FWIW
From Paddock, I bought a Japanese made RS-TaiChi jacket, in Dec 2006.
I now have used it for 22,000km, and it's kept me comfortable riding in the SEA heat. Cost was about 10-12K-Bt
A tough knit exterior fabric and knit liner. Removable armour: back, elbow and shoulder protection with padded lining,
with additional padded areas built into the front, rear and sleeves of the jacket. 5-zippered pockets. Adjustable waistband and sleeves.

Rear:
