Road Construction Paksan - Phonsavan

road reports from my clients are telling me that if you plan to ride within the next few months (before rainy season) this road, you may be only able to do half of the 230 km in one day. Road construction delays south of Xieng Khoung and north of Thathom can be lengthy waits as the diggers move earth around. The last group to go thru left Phonsavan at 08:00 only to arrive in Thathom at 16:00.

R13N 25km north of Udomxai had the same problems 2 days ago when I was there, lots of waiting for trucks and diggers to move aside.
