Justback in from a night in Phayao with the HGL G/F S.
Route 120 at the east Phayao end is now all perfect smooth sweeping flowing asphalt. Even the G/f managed to keep her foot flat to the floor driving the car all the way up to the ridgeline.
Right now Id say R120 is one of the best roads / rides in North Thai, (except for about 5-6 kms unfinished asphalt on the west side of the )ridgeline. Check it out asap.

| David I agree. That stretch of the 120 is seamless perfection on a motorbike. Just a touch too open for a 250 supermotard that tops out at 120 KPH but I can imagine pure grins cruising it at 160 - 200 on a sportbike. |

Just did this section a couple of weeks ago and it was fantasic! Only downside was the half off road section on the way up to the view point which wasnt very fun on a cb400. Still a great section though, but I think the new section on the 1081 still tops it slightly.
