Guys, a cheap and very good 3-Star Hotel I use once 'drowning' in Pattaya:
    http://www.thaigarden.com/
From Sukhumvit Road you turn into the Pattaya North Road and pass the traffic light with 3rd Road, a little further down and the Thai Garden Resort is on the right hand side. It has also a very recommendable Pub called: "Moonriver Pub".

For double the price and next to the roadcross North-Pattaya//3rd Road is the Mantra Pura on the left hand side which I use on occasion: http://www.lkpattaya.com/
Rooms are very luxurious as is the whole styling of the Hotel.

    More to follow..............Cheers, Franz

    Hi Captain

Thanks for your tips related to eastern destinations.

In Trad I used to stay in OK guest house. Large bungalows from 150 to 420 Baht (bathtub to recover from a ride) - I appreciate the own covered parking in front of my door (as it rains 8/12 months javascript:emoticon('') )

Pizza in Trad is a new tip. Usually eat in the night market or at the restaurant on the left just a bit before your Pizza tip.

Aran: not to miss the Gay Vietnamese food (namely Kanom Bueng) just a bit down the road from your THIP kitchen, but they close around 6 p.m.

They have some Western food here including burgers

Its on Lhak Muang Road right opposite Orchid Restaurant

There were a couple of Western expats in here who told me the fish&chips was excellent and that I would struggle to eat it, those last words sold it to me. This was the most delicious fish&chips that I have eaten in a very long time and it also does take some eating, 150 Baht and money definitely well spent, so if you are in town and fancy fish&chips heres the place to try it

Cheeseburger and chips for 95 Baht, it was filling and very delicious too, this Thai Lady here certainly knows how to cook Western food to perfection

Nice place to stay just out of Pattaya .... Villa Wanida ..... between Sukhumvit road and the "new" rail-road-bypass-stupid-road. Big rooms, swimming pool, a lot of secure parking. But out of the city.

In Bangkok, Premier Inn on Soi 20 off Skhmvt, is good value (shown to me by Robert H)

800 bht, parking for you're bike, free breakfast.

It's where I always stay now.
