I saw this poster today and wondered if E-85 is soon going to be on the market in Thailand

I believe some PTT garages already sell it, E85 plus, 18-19B a litre.

Yes it is rather confusing thankfully some of them colour code it so it is a bit easier. Is there any vehicles in Thailand that actually run on E-85 (with the exception of the Lancer in the poster)? Yamaha state their new motorcycles can only run on a 10% Ethanol blend and new Honda cars can run on a 20% blend.

    E-85 VEHICLES

    HI,

AT LEAST I KNOW THAT VOLVO HAS AN E-85 CAR FOR SALE IN THAILAND.THEY DID ASK FOR SPECIAL TAX TREATMENT WHEN IMPORTING IT TO GET AN ATTRACTIVE PRICE (BUT IT IS DAMNED EXPENSIVE ANY HOW)

SAAB ALSO HAVE AN E-85 CAR BUT SINCE SAAB;S FUTURE IS UNCLEAR I DON'T THINK IT IS AVAILABLE HERE NOW. SAAB ALSO HAVE A MULTI FLEXIBLE FUEL CAR WHICH CAN BE RUN ON E15 OR PURE GASOLINE. WHAT IS INTERESTING IS THAT WHEN IT IS RUN ON ALMOST PURE ALCOHOL IT HAS 50 HP MORE THAN RUN ON PURE GASOLINE. THE MORE ALCOHOL THE MORE POWER. ON THE OTHER HAND THE FUEL CONSUMPTION GOES UP A LOT. ANYHOW ALL TALKS ABOUT LESS POWER WITH GASOHOL IS "RUBBISH' MAYBE THE MPG MAY INCREASE A LITTLE.

Yes I fully agree with you, the Phantom seems sharper on gasohol 91 than on benzine 91

Sorry Slash my "new" Yamaha bike was a 2008 model and so was the Honda car, guess things have moved on a bit. I should also have said that the Yamahas were an FZ-1 and FJR, I don't know what the smaller bikes run on, I leave that to the wife. She just bought a new Honda Click can that run on E20 as well?
