Has anybody any idea if the wheels of these two bikes are interchangeable? they appear to run exactly the same tyre sizes and if the same wheel fits both bikes that would be the cheapest option to convert to tubeless tyres

I looked at the wheels and thought it couldn't be done, but looking at this picture, it clearly can.

I cant read Thai so I cant figure this out.
If you take this project on, please let us know what is needed to make it happen.
Ask at Kawasaki as they should know? I am sure it wouldn't be a Hard to adapt if they don't already fit straight on?

Colin the CM Kawaker shop says it can be done, and they have done so. Many months ago heard a quote of 80,000 baht to do so with imported wheels. Would be something to ask at a few other well known shops.
There’s a few really, really great places to be in the world. One is on a nice day, one hour away from your house, on your way to somewhere else. That is one of the best feelings that there is. Open road and all you got is adventure in front of you
Slash was suggesting using the 250 Ninja Wheels which would be much Cheaper than Imported Forged Items! It makes perfect Sense just Do they actually fit??? Might need to machine some different spacers but worth checking out?

Just had a look at both kawaker 250's parked in front right now; it does look like a case of flipping the front rim around, mounting a D-Tracker sized disk, and spacing it right. It appears that the DT has larger hub spacing, so not sure what will happen with the speedometer connection?
Looks possible (what do I know till it's measured and tried. which from the photo appears to be done) but the Ninja just left before we could wrench off wheels and have a quick test fit. The Kawaker shops must have done so many times no?

Kevin does the D-Tracker have a speedo cable from the hub?, I thought they had a digital readout. Its definitely something I will look into as paying 80,000 Baht for imported wheels is a big no no
Paying 80,000 THB for imported wheels is okay as long as there's a CBR150R attached to them.![]()
Are there after market wheels in Thailand for the 250 Ninja?
I just found the wheels I presume you're talking about.
Very nice, but as you say, a big no no.
Bump!
Still no-one has the answer to this, or any other way to get the D-Tracker onto tubeless, apart from 80k of course?
Maybe the solution is this: http://www.bahtsold.com/en/view/2010...0-87410?doqs=1 - buy the whole bike!
Don't know if they're Galespeeds but they definitely look like 'em!
Just realized that the bikes are identical!
If the rims are 80K this is a steal!!
Just talked to the owner, the rims are not included - well, if it's too good to be true...
But lots of other goodies on the bike, the fenders are from Japan, carbon fibre parts and a juice box to go with the exhaust. 2nd owner.
Still a good deal for 140K THB!
