Kampong Thom to Kampong Channang via the Tonle Sap bed

Has anyone done this during the current season? The ride I am talking about is here:

I'll be in Cambodia the last week of March. Seems like its the perfect time of year to do it. Need a ride close to Phnom Penh since I won't be in Cambodia long. Been almost 2 years since my last ride in the country and I hear the dirt and trails are disappearing fast.

Ok, I did it. It's a really nice trail ride close to Phnom Penh, dry season only. I started from Kampong Thom, went south on the 6 about 7 km and turned right under a gray temple archway. From there it's about 70 km to the ferry crossing over to Kampong Channang. The trail is hard to follow at times, so a gps would be very useful. Just need to stay on trails going south and slightly west. For about 45 km there is no water, no fuel, no villages, no people. Very remote on this stretch, as you can see from the pics.
