A Balmy Days Ride In The UK Heatwave Of October

A lovely days ride out in the 30C heat of the UK on 2nd october, todays temperature is the new record high for october over here

Random photos from the English countryside from todays 400 km ride

Some good twisty roads and a sunny sky

A photo and refreshment stop at the Avebury ring

The pub at Avebury right next to the stones, a decent pint here unlike in Asia

Theres quite a few stones here

My first ride along this scenic twisty road today, I only discovered it as my usual road was closed for repairs

On the way home I call in at our usual wednesday night bike meet, quite a few here this afternoon

She looks the part on this old 125 Honda

Dont see many of these around now

    1977-78

I am back to full fitness now and out on the Sportster whenever possible

Looks like your getting better weather than Sydney at the moment Colin... Labour Day Long Weekend, and stuck inside with the kids cause it is cold, windy, and rainy...

Did a ride a couple of weeks ago on a perfect spring day... must have been about 100 bikes at the usual stop point for rides heading south at Bald Hill...

    come on riding weather...
Nothing screams poor workmanship like creases in the duct tape...

Weather is being kind to you Colin - getting you ready for coming back here! Usual good photos. The Wednesday night bike meet certainly seems well attended. Have attached a photo especially for you - this is what you might be missing while you are over here. More chance of hell freezing over than having this awful stuff in Thailand. See you soon.

Nice one Colin. Looks lovely over there.

Good to see you fit and out and about again. Missing your reports so when are you back over in LOS?

    Look forward to it.

I think several other folk will as well as we can start to get your great road reports to gauge our trip plans against.

Getting the Kanchanaburi area mapped on the GPS is going to be a big assignment plus finishing off some unfinished offroad sections in Nan has to be done.

Isaan and the Trat area will be covered but no plans to venture south of Petchaburi this trip
