Any scenic routes from Phnom Penh to Angkor Wat?

Am here in Phnom Penh for a few days. Wanted to go check out angkor wat. Plan is to rent an offroad bike and head out there.

Ride is 4 hours by highway, but obviously I would much rather take a scenic offroad ride. Stay the night and then head back.

Any suggestions about routes I can take and how long it would take?

Search and take route 66 (the cambodian route 66). Will take you at least a day more but it is worth it. Did it with a friend some 3 years ago and it is still one of the best trails I ever rode. Need a GPS though.

Alex has now gone missing, if anyone knows his whereabouts please send me a PM. I'm not sure he was informed Cambodia is littered with landmines and may have strayed off of cleared paths.
