Hello Paul. I do not understand your problem. but here is what I do. There are 2 possibilities (as far as I know).
1. You store the picture files on your computer and from inside your GT-R post you choose "insert image" and select it by navigating to your file/image
I noticed that I had problems if the file was not enough compressed (to large) ... this might be one possibility.
You can also upload a link to a picture. But I prefer the following solution.
2. Upload your picture to a picture server (Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, ...) then copy the link to your text outside GT-Rider. Each image link must be in brackets:
As I said, I only had problem with large files.
Cheers. Jurgen
Just use Photobucket.
It has a great upload feature whereby you can just upload all your images in one go.
Once it's done, mousing over an image in an album produces a popup with a [IMG] link - clicking on that copies the link, then just paste it in your post, and done.
Much easier and quicker than using the built in image upload function.
For image resizing, it's probably easiest on the computer. I used iPhoto (mac) to export to a folder, set the JPG quality to medium and size to "large" (I think capped at 1024x768 which is plenty big) and ended up with each image only about 250KB from the original 2.5MB. If you use Windows I am sure the free Picasa software can do the same.

Sent you a PM yesterday.
The first question to answer is where do you have the photos stored - on your computer or on a photo gallery on the internet?
