    Photo uploading- order of pictures

Picking up on Gary's recent comment on his photos not uploading in order. I have the same problem. My photos retain the name from the camera and are numbered in order of shooting, often the way I want to upload. If I select several pics to upload, the order of appearance in the post appears to be random. The only way I have seen to do in order, is one at a time. I have had limited success rearranging within the post. I am using Firefox and Safari, both same. Any tips please?

Seems nobody has any idea how to post photos in order, without doing them one at a time. Admins, not able to help?

John, honestly dont know, but Id guess that when you batch load a group of photos they just get uploaded in whatever order they are successfully uploaded if that makes sense. Possibly they aren't all the same size & the smaller ones get loaded first. Not unlike copying & pasting a folder full of different sized files I would think. But then again what do I know about computers & IT stuff - not much at all unfortunately.

    Hi John

I honestly had no idea what the logic was on multiple image uploads. Having just done some research on the topic, I've learned that its by Date, in descending order. According to vBulletin Support, there is no provision in the system to change that.

In my case, if uploading a batch and one or more were out of order, I'd switch to HTML edit mode and cut and paste the links in the correct order. Usually I'd have bits of explanatory text between each 2-3 images and upload in small batches.

    Hope that helps...

Thanks David and Ben for responding. I suppose the simplest is just to write a line of text and upload 1 pic and so on? The problem comes when selecting several for one upload. I always do from my MacBook, to the site as I have good management and backup of pics via Aperture, so do not use Photobucket or similar anymore. The problem came when selecting multiple files, I always thought it would load in order of my selection, but as you say it is reverse time order. Will work around it. Thanks
