    Traveling through Laos Oct 2012

    Hi all
I am planning a trip through Laos in Oct this year with a group of Six.
We are planning to leave Vientiane and head to Pak lay then Xayaboury, Luang Prabung, Vieng Thong via Pak Xeng, Vieng Xia, Phonsavan, Longsane, then back to Vientiane. We will be taking 11 days to do our trip and would like some feedback from anyone who has done a similar trip. We have booked Honda Baja's from Jules Classic Rentals in Vientiane.

I am doing almost the exact same ride in March and April, taking 30 days and going at a leisurely pace.

If anyone can add in any thoughts, it would be much appreciated. I will also be going to Nomtha and Phonsuli

    Thank you, JD

April will be very hot and last year August / September Lao experienced flooding problems mainly in the South. Hope this helps.

yes, that helps although I won't be going south at all.

Actually I am hoping for cooler weather in the far north....I live on Koh Phangan in Thailand and I know what March and April can be like, ugggghhhh. Hoping for some nice 15 degree nights for sleeping, daytime temps not important because I will be riding.
